Yea, I do have to agree there. I mean McCrae did a fantastic job of weaving a love story and Arthur and Karen nailed the acting. You also got to see a bit into the dark side of the choices that the doctor has to make constantly.
I like how Rory calls out the Doctor on things too. It’s nice to see that the promises to show the consequences of living like the Doctor does are being fulfilled. I think Rory is a great mouth piece for these sort of remarks because of all that he has been through, it gives it more gravity. And Rory was also absolutely right about the things he called the Doctor on, some of those remarks could bare a LOT of exploration. This whole episode was really a meta writers wet dream.
