whoniverseconfessions: ‘Colin Baker’s experience with Doctor Who is actually quite inspiring. Colin was a longtime fan who jumped at the chance to do anything Who-related and was eventually cast as the Doctor during a time of rather terrible writing and bad executive meddling. He was generally disliked by fans who should have been angry at the showrunners. He was treated terribly during his tenure. And he still, to this day, remains a huge supporter, fan, and promoter of Doctor Who. That simply amazes me.’ Hell to the yes. Also Six gets some of the best writing and one of the best companions (Dr. Evelyn Smythe) in the audios. His relation ship with Peri is taken given much needed layers of depth and shows how they care for each other under the fighting. (Just try not to ship it after Her Final Flight, I dare you) And he and Mel are turned in to a bad ass and often hilarious team. Colin is a hero and gets all the awards.
